How it all began
from the kitchen table to an internationally recognized brand
The story of Laudermarke Group
It all started around the kitchen table in 2015 for Founders; Rob and Dominique Haarhuis. As the oldest offspring in the family, Rob has already worked in the family business for many years. In agriculture, the time of the year, the weather and many other things often dictate the working hours. For Rob, there was always something to be done on the farm, so it was likely to also do work at night. He quickly realized that to ensure efficient farming, proper lighting is an important point to consider.
The first LED lights were bought overseas for Rob's own tractor which did not go unnoticed by neighbors, family and friends. The idea for a business was started.
Soon, the demand for LED lighting was enormous and Rob started reselling them on Marketplaces while packing orders with Dominique at the kitchen table.
Their first webshop for selling LED lighting for agricultural- and forestry vehicles, stables, and workshops was build to keep up with demand and the growth in orders.
In 2018 the decision had to be made between dairy farm and LED lighting. It was a risk, but they chose the webshop and established the brand Crawer.
After 3 years of doing business, their team of then nine people realized ‘What works in the Netherlands might also work in Germany’. A second firm, AgrarLED.de was established.
Not only was the head office enlarged, but the Laudermarke Group also expanded their business operations with Agroled.dk and Agriled.no in Denmark and Norway.
After 5 years of doing business, both Ledhandel24.nl and AgrarLED.de are considered market leaders in the industry. Further business expansions are planned.
What our colleagues say
"I have been working here since October 15th, 2016 and I have been able to contribute to great growth within the company. Because of the smooth collaboration between colleagues and the different departments, we always continue to innovate and improve. Good collaboration and great collegiality ensures that everyone is and remains very involved. No day is the same for me. With various tasks, from advertisements to marketing, there is always something new to do. I get the freedom to plan my own day and tasks, deciding upon the urgency of the different tasks/activities."
Jesper Spreeuwers (30)
"I have already worked for different companies in my life and have therefore seen a lot of diffenrent perspectives of different companies. I feel completely at home at Laudermarke Group and I enjoy going to work every day. My work in the warehouse goes further than carefully packing orders. I am also involved in minor repairs and loading/unloading trucks. Every Friday we are treated to a delicious fish and chips lunch, this is simply the icing on the top of an already excellent cake for me. I hope to continue doing this until I retire and, if my health permits, even for many years past retirement."
Rien Nieuwenhuis (61)
"I really enjoy my work as a sales staff member in this company. Teamwork is not only a word for us. We work towards the same goal, all together. Everybody is respected and treated equally. We do not consider our boss a boss, we are all equal members of the team. There is no competition between the colleagues. Every day in this company makes me happy. Here, I get the chance to develop myself personally, my soft skills and in the work field. I really get motivated by the possibilities and the success of the team. I am very thankful and proud that we as colleagues build this team together."
